Should You Switch to a Natural Cleaner?

Why should you consider a natural cleaner? If you are like most people, you probably don't actually like do housework. So when the time comes to tackle the mess, you want it done quickly and efficiently and natural cleaners don't really work right?

But what about those chemicals you're using?

As you scour, bleach, spray and wipe, have you considered what you might be inhaling?

What about the carpet powder you just put down before you vacuumed?

As your baby crawls around, is the residue going to irritate her skin?

How about that wonderful-smelling, floral air-freshener you sprayed this morning?

What exactly did it do to the air quality in your home?

Let's face it. Store-bought cleaners and disinfectants have been around a long time, and they typically do a great job getting things clean. When most people think of common cleaners and disinfectants, they most likely think of name brands such as Clorox® or Lysol® which are available at most retailers. In fact, Clorox®, well known as the manufacturer of Clorox® Bleach, has been around since 1913.

So it's true that most people don't dispute the effectiveness of traditional cleaning products from well-known companies, but the problem lies in what you don't see.

Traditional cleaning products often contain hazardous chemicals that may contribute to a whole host of health issues. In order to limit your family's exposure to dangerous ingredients, choose a green cleaner to meet your need. Green cleaners ARE capable of handling your day-to-day cleaning task without the chemicals.

Green Cleaners

Eco friendly cleaning products are now much easier to find thanks to the "green living" movement. In the past, in order to find natural cleaning products , you would have had to seek out natural health food stores or online retailers. But more options are now becoming available in mainstream grocery stores and "big-box" retailers such as Target® and Walmart®.

Although this is great news for us as consumers, you should still be diligent when shopping for eco friendly cleaning products to be sure you understand exactly what you're getting.
