Baby animals are adorable and children typically love them as they get into toddler stage.

Rainbows
Rainbows make for a beautiful, vibrant nursery. Use nontoxic paint to paint the room a pale sky blue, then add some white clouds and paint a simple rainbow on one of the walls.

You can alternative the colors of various items in the room i.e. bedding, curtains, pillows, etc. to create a bright, imaginative room. Place a yellow toy box at the bottom of the rainbow for the "pot o' gold".

Dance
Dance is a wonderful baby girl nursery idea! Many little girls dream of becoming ballerinas. To design your nursery, you might collect decorations, like posters, dance shoes or other dance-related memorabilia. When your child is older, you can attach a "barre" and large mirror to one wall to enhance the design.

Sophisticated or Modern
There are many beautiful crib sets with contemporary fabric detail and trims. Think Pottery Barn for example.

If you are in a position to custom-design your crib set, consider selecting your own fabric and using a professional pattern from your local craft store to create your own crib set. If you don't sew, you could hire a seamstress to do it for you.

The benefit of this type of nursery is that it really gives you to the ability to create a space that will grow with your child.
