About Us

My husband and I met while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Now many years later, we are a happily married couple of 3 wonderful children (girl, boy, girl) ages 8, 6, and 1. There's our littlest one right there.

By education and trade, we have experience in sales, accounting, finance, real estate and public speaking, but our true feelings of accomplishment, our sense of purpose if you will, comes from our family.

Our joy is in life's little moments with our children. We treasure the day our oldest two first rode their bikes all by themselves. We smile when we think about the day our littlest one first ran to the door screaming, "Daddy!" when he came home from work.

Simply put, the concept of family and raising children is our passion.

When we were awaiting the arrival of our youngest child two years ago, we became interested in natural, organic products. As we began researching various products and how they were made, we were amazed at what we didn't know. In fact, we wished we'd known this information before we started our family.

But as they say, once you know better, you can do better. So we decided to share what we've learned on this site. It does take a village to raise children today, so we are happy to partner with you, share information and make recommendations that we hope will enhance your life and the lives of your children.

How this Site Came to Be

In my "former life" I worked for over a decade in the finance industry. During that time, I met many wonderful people who dreamed of starting their own businesses. . . one day. Yet, few people ever took the leap.

For me, the voyage to my own business started several years ago with the birth of my second child. Working full-time for a major corporation brought me a sense of accomplishment and I loved my work, but I began to feel pulled in two directions.

The more I tried to be both a great employee and a great mom, the more I felt like I was failing at both. So, I summoned up the courage to ask for a part-time schedule. And I was approved! It was great. I felt like I had the best of both worlds and things went along quite smoothly.

But there was still an entrepreneurial passion simmering inside of me. A sense that I wanted to create something of my own.

By the time, baby #3 came around; I began to look more earnestly for a business opportunity that was right for me and my family.

I searched and I searched, I googled and I yahooed.

There were alot of "opportunities" out there, but they didn't seem right for me. For example, I knew I didn't want to do multi-level marketing, and other things like mystery shopping weren't good fits for me.
